Desktop Management

With the IT desktop management, the central administration and other institutions receive full support for their workplace computers from the TIK.

Scope of functions

Our support offer is aimed at workstations managed by the Central Administration Services (ZVD). The yellow or white stickers with the identifier pcXXXX or pcXXXXnb indicate whether your terminal device is supported by the ZVD.

Support for supervised workstations in the following areas:

  • Troubleshooting for hardware defects & software problems
  • Operating system installation and updates
  • Software installation and updates
  • Configuration of the e-mail program
  • Integration of printers from the framework agreement (exclusively for network printers approved by the TIK/ZVD from the framework agreement)
  • Integration into the central network and directory infrastructure
  • Virus protection and infestation
  • Data protection

Assistance and support with:

  • IT purchases of Windows PCs, Macs and software
  • Advice on the procurement of printers and special equipment
    - in particular with regard to compatibility with the workstation computers
  • Authorization structures
  • Data backup
